issue 1: New Beginnings
The most important meal
Annie Furman
I will confess:
I skipped breakfast this morning
To wander the woods.
It is not a thing I condone.
I’m not saying you should do it too.
What I’m saying is
How unfair is it
To be made to choose
In a world that will not give time
For both?
Birdsong (organic) - $20.00
Omelette (cage-free) - $19.99
Why can’t I have
Sword ferns and waffles
Bigleaf maple and hashbrowns
Red-stem feather moss with a side of toast
How much fuller
More satisfied
How much readier to face the day
And leave a tip for the warblers
